Landlords & 2030. Important news!

Many landlords will know about the changing regulation for energy assessments to your properties coming in for 2030.

South Lakes Lettings are working on this with our landlords right now to prepare for the 2030 requirements. We have engaged with Cucumber Energy Assessors to help our landlords properties achieve an EPC C status. . We feel it is important that pro-actively support our landlords to ensure that their properties are future proofed ahead of future legislation. And, that the tenants in your homes are able to benefit from energy efficient homes.

Additionally, the Home Energy Model (HEM) will begin running alongside the current SAP system in October 2027, fully replacing it by 2029.  For properties currently rated D (specifically those scoring 60/61 or above), we can often bridge the gap to a C rating. Cucumber, our selected partner will provide a specialist assessment, identify the necessary measures and apply Air Tightness Testing to obtain an EPC C rating.  Cucumber operate on a “No C, No Fee” basis. The resulting certificate will be valid for 10 years, ensuring compliance well beyond the 2030 deadline and the full implementation of the Home Energy Model. SLL will be managing the process, whilst Cucumber deal with all the appointments for your property and your tenant.
