Section 13 notices
Landlords and tenants, are you aware that from 1st May, that the only way to increase your rent will be by a Section 13 notice? Tenants are protected by the S13 only being activated once annually.
And, there is a requirement for this to be a reflection of the market rent for the area. No annual rent review clauses or contract clauses. Tenants can appeal to the First Tier Tribunal if they feel the rent is unfair.
